Terms of use

Purpose

These terms govern the use of Aubin, an online service that finds, analyses and verifies public data to produce analyses, maps, reports, tools and other deliverables. Aubin is published by Gabriel Mbenda N. (ORAKEN). By creating an account, you accept these terms.

Account

You must be at least 18. You are responsible for your account and what happens in it. An account is personal: to work as a team, ask us about the Businesses and public bodies offer.

Credits and plans

Aubin runs on credits: each analysis uses some, depending on the work done. Plans, prices and included credits are shown on the Pricing page.

50 credits are offered at sign-up, valid for 90 days. Unused credits from a subscription month stay valid for one more month. Top-up credits stay valid for 12 months.

If Aubin cannot confirm a figure, your credits are returned: up to 3 refunds a month, and Aubin’s own errors are always refunded.

Credits have no cash value: they cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded in money.

Payment and subscription

Subscriptions and top-ups are sold by Stripe, acting as merchant of record: it collects payment, applies your country’s VAT and issues receipts. Displayed prices exclude taxes.

Upgrading applies immediately; downgrading applies at the next renewal. There are no prorated refunds.

You can cancel at any time from your workspace. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and your credits remain usable until then.

Purchase rights (withdrawal, refunds, invoices) are those presented by Stripe at checkout.

Your content

You keep ownership of your questions, your files and the deliverables produced for you. You only allow us to process them to provide the service.

You agree to attach only files you have the right to use, and not to include third parties’ personal data without a legal basis.

Public data and results

The data used by Aubin belongs to its producers and remains subject to its licences. When you reuse a result, cite the source as Aubin shows you.

Aubin verifies each figure before showing it and says when it cannot confirm one. Results remain a decision aid: check them before any important use (legal, financial, medical…). Aubin does not provide legal, tax or financial advice.

Acceptable use

You may not use Aubin for illegal activity, try to bypass its protections or isolation, deliberately overload the service, or resell access without written agreement.

In case of breach, we may suspend or close the account, after warning you except in an emergency.

Availability and liability

Aubin is under active development. We do our best to keep it available and reliable, without being able to guarantee it at all times.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the previous twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. For any significant change, we notify you at least 30 days in advance; you may then cancel.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If there is a problem, please write to us first at contact@oraken.tech: we will look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts are those designated by law.
